How fees work
We stay out of network with dental plans. Here is how paying works, in the order most patients ask.
Insurance we work with
We are out of network with dental plans and don't file claims. Many plans pay part of an implant, or none. The plan decides what it covers. We are not enrolled with Medicaid or CHIP.

If you pay yourself
You pay at the visit, after we've agreed the fee in writing. Implants come in stages, so the estimate lists each stage and what it costs.

Receipts for reimbursement
After each visit you get an itemized receipt. If your plan reimburses out-of-network care, you can send it in. Whether it pays, and how much, is the plan's decision.

An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate. We give you a written one in advance, when you book or whenever you ask. It lists the visit, each step we expect and the fee for each.

Checking your benefits
We don't check benefits, because we don't bill plans. Call the number on your card and ask what it pays for an out-of-network dentist. We give you the codes for your visit if you ask.

What the first visit includes
About an hour: a talk, an exam by Dr. Loera, X-rays only if she needs them, a scan if you're asking about an implant, and a written estimate. Fill in your health history on our private patient portal, not by email or the contact form.
